News is breaking this morning that House Speaker John Boehner is stepping down as Speaker and resigning from Congress at the end of October, which, as the New York Times is reporting, is “throwing Congress into chaos as it tries to avert a government shutdown. Mr. Boehner made the announcement in an emotional meeting with his fellow Republicans on Friday morning.”
I’m sure within the next few hours the full story will emerge as to whether he faced an ouster by a majority of the House GOP caucus. Meanwhile, will Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy succeed him, or is the House GOP caucus so fractious that someone else will have to emerge? Maybe there should be a Fox News candidate debate?
Remember: The Speaker of the House does not have to be an elected member of the House. An opening for Donald Trump? Bring back Newt?

While this is excellent news, the bad news accompanying it is that Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy is gathering support to replace Boehner. The House under McCarthy will be no different than it was under Boehner. In effect, Nancy Pelosi will be running the House for Obama just as in the Senate under McConnell, Harry Reid is still calling the shots. Thanks to all of you who have followed our calls to put pressure on Boehner. Now we must focus on preventing McCarthy from becoming Speaker. So, here is another call to:
1) Call McCarthy’s office and ask him NOT to run for Speaker: (202) 225- 2915*
2) Call Louie Gohmert’s Office and ENCOURAGE him to run for Speaker: (202) 225 -3035*
* Unless you live in their District, you can’t contact them by e-mail.
3) Write Mushhead McConnell and demand he follow Bonehead Boehner’s example and resign.
Louie Gohmert is a Constitutional Conservative and should be Speaker of the House.
We’ve got to end the RINOcracy in Congress!
