Our Side Wins One!
(And B. Hussein Obama’s Democrat Party Loses Another One!)
Matt Bevin Elected Governor of Kentucky
Text adapted from post by Erick Erickson at Red State and other sources.
Republican businessman Matt Bevin – the man who dared to challenge Senator Mitch McConnell in the Republican primary last year – was elected as the next Governor of Kentucky yesterday.
This flips the governorship from Democrat to Republican, and elects a true conservative with a bold plan to cut taxes, shrink government, repeal Common Core, fix the pension system, repeal the state’s Obamacare exchange, and to fight the federal government’s war on the states.
Look at Bevin’s win in this context:
George Bush continues to be a more successful politician than Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. In addition to winning the Texas Governor’s Mansion twice, George Bush did something Barack Obama and Bill Clinton could not do — win the Presidency twice without seeing his party completely wiped out.
Certainly, in 2006, the GOP lost the Congress, but in 2002 and 2004, at both the state and federal level, the GOP held its own. Clinton oversaw the South shifting wholesale to the right. Now Barack Obama has overseen the Republican Party reasserting itself in New England where the media says the GOP cannot win and now in the rust belt and border state regions. Note to the press: border states is a reference to Civil War border states, not states along the Mexican or Canadian border.
Matt Bevin is the latest winner. Kentucky was a shining example for the Democrats of a place where moderate Democrats could hold their own and work to implement Barack Obama’s agenda. That came crashing down last night. He also championed religious liberty against his liberal Democrat opponent. He has fought hard in coal territories and the GOP carpet bombed coal areas of Kentucky with attacks on the Obama Administration’s environmental policies.
What’s more, Bevin was able to consolidate the support of the GOP in Kentucky and win when so many counted him out. Most national pundits wrote him off, instead choosing to believe Democratic spin. National Republicans, initially inclined to walk away from the man who challenged Sen. Mitch McConnell, were impressed with Bevin’s willingness to build bridges.
Matt Bevin won in Kentucky. He won bigger than anyone expected. He owns this win. But it is again worth noting that nationally Democrats keep losing with Barack Obama as President. The public keeps rejecting the President’s party. They did it last night in Kentucky.
It’s only a matter of time before Democrats blame their losses on climate change in Syria.

Dear Lord: The last fifteen or twenty years have been very tough.
You have taken my favorite actor – Paul Newman; my favorite actress – Elizabeth Taylor;
my favorite singer – Andy Williams; my favorite author -Tom Clancy; and now, my favorite comedians – Robin Williams and Joan Rivers.
I just wanted you to know that my favorite politicians are Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi
Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid, and I have a special place in my heart for Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton.
… another tip of the hat to “B-Squared” for this one:
• A Russian arrives in New York City …
… as a new immigrant to the United States. It’s 11:00 AM on a Wednesday.
He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and says, “Thank you Mr. American for letting me come into this country, giving me housing, food stamps, free medical care, and a free education!”
The passerby says, “You are mistaken, I am a Mexican and here illegally.”
The man goes on and encounters another passerby. “Thank you for having such a beautiful country here, America.”
The person says, “I not American, I Vietnamese and here on a Green Card that expired two years ago.”
The new arrival walks farther and stops the next person he sees, then shaking his hand, and says, “Thank you for wonderful America!” That person puts up his hand and says, “I am from Middle East. I am not American. It was easy to get here via Arizona.”
He finally sees a nice lady and asks, “Are you an American?”
She says, “No, I am from Africa here on an Education Green Card that expired 10 years ago.”
Puzzled, he asks her, “Where are all the Americans?”
The African lady checks her watch and says: “Probably at work.”

As humorous as it sounds…..every last word is absolutely TRUE!
1. In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to un-insure the insured.
2. Next, we require the newly un-insured to be re-insured.
3. To re-insure the newly un-insured, they are required to pay extra charges.
4. The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became un-insured, and then became re-insured, can pay enough extra so that the original un-insured can be insured, so it will be ‘free-of-charge’ to them.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is called “redistribution of wealth” or, by its more common name, SOCIALISM, or “PROGRESSIVE”, the politically correct names for COMMUNISM !
